Kenneth Martin Obituary

75 of Moorestown died December 24th at his home. Born in New York City Ken held a bachelor's degree from St. Louis University and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin.
During the Korean War Ken served in Army Intelligence. Ken began his career in rocket propellants at the Red Stone Arsenal in Huntsville AL. Later Ken became Director of Research for Micromedic Systems a subsidiary of Rohm and Haas. During his tenure at Rohm and Haas he advanced to Director of International Operations. Through his work with Rohm and Haas Ken and his family lived in both Switzerland and Holland. Ken retired from Rohm and Haas to join his wife's travel agency Dateline Travel in Lindenwold NJ.
Besides family travel skiing jazz and classical music bird watching and squirrel relocation; Ken's greatest passion was fishing especially in Northern Quebec.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Connie Martin and his six children and their spouses: Tim Martin of Westford MA; Pat Cleveland and husband Mark of Evanston IL; Paul Martin of Shamong NJ; Therese Rivera and husband Jeff of St. Paul MN; Jo Anne Winget and husband Mick Terragrossa of Audubon NJ; Kevin Martin of Scotch Plains NJ; daughter-in-law Kay Martin of Westampton NJ. Ken was the proud and loving grandfather to seven grandchildren: Jessica Ian Chelsea Tara Michelle Leah Cali and five 'grand dogs': Petey Holly Angel Mattie and Cedar.
Friends may call at LEWIS FUNERAL HOME 78 East Main Street Moorestown NJ on Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00 PM. A time for remembrance at the funeral home will follow.
In lieu of flowers Ken would have preferred that the funds be given to any charity local or global that is working the needy
