I had the pleasure of being a co-worker of Lance at Ultra Hardware. Lance was a one of a kind free spirit, no matter what was going on at work or in his life, good or bad. Lance always had a relaxed attitude and calmness about him. Whenever you needed a boost you could always go to Lance and have him tell you one of his off the wall jokes, no matter how bad you still walked away laughing. It was a pleasure to have Lance as a co-worker but even more of a pleasure to have him as a FRIEND. May you Rest in Peace my Friend LJ.

Some of the office people at Ultra Hardware knew of Lance only with the numerous daily pages over the P.A. system, "LANCE JACKSON... REPORT TO THE SHOP", "LANCE JACKSON PLEASE COME TO 'E' AISLE".......

Others knew of him when he would mosey into the office lunchroom with his forklift safety belt dangleing around his waist to get some pepper for his lunch. We always made sure there was plenty of pepper in the lunchroom!

Lance was a great guy and a hard worker who would stop whatever he was doing to get something that was needed right away. His wit and humor was next to none and would always have a smile on his face and would greet everyone with a big hello.

I could go on and on about him, but just want to say that it was my privilege and honor to have had the opportunity to know and work with him.

We will not miss him..... we already do.

Rest in peace Lance, and drive that big red Cadillac in the sky!!

Until we meet again,
Alan Scotkin
