Peggy was my roommate during our sophmore year at Keuka College. I was very happy to see her at our 55th reunion, and sad when she said she was not well enough to make it to the 60th reunion. I have good memories of going to Hamburg for a few weekends during college. She was a good friend, and I am glad our paths crossed at Keuka.

Anyone who knew my mother knows that she could light up any room with her smile, especially a room full of kids. If there is but one ultra-valuable lesson she left me with, it was her lecture to me in 1990 - "Timmy, don't make the mistake so many people make; don't chase the money. You are an artist and explorer, a thinker and leader, a teacher, a trouble-maker, who questions everything and never blindly follows the status quo. Use your skills, develop your wisdom, and channel your anger at injustices into something productive to help make the world a slightly better place then it was before you arrived. That is your legacy - those you touch. You may never be wealthy but don't confuse that with success. Your life will be rich and fulfilling in ways most will never comprehend, and THAT is what life is all about. So get out there and make a difference; just come back and clean my gutters once a year, okay. I miss you already, mum.

Grief can be hard, but the love and support of family and friends help us through. Peg and I shared a special bond from the moment we met. I will never be able to express my gratitude and love for the care she gave to my little girl. I love you Peg. May you rest in the comforting arms of our Lord. Remembering you always. ❤
