Meredith Kay Obituary

Meredith Stephanie Kay

Marlton - Meredith Stephanie Kay, a resident of Marlton, New Jersey, died on September 20, 2020. Meredith is survived by her daughter, Samantha Rose Kay; sister, Dana Kay Smith (Philip); brother, Stephen Thomas Kay (Piper); parents, Lewis and JoAnn Kay and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Meredith graduated The University of Massachusetts, Amherst and was a passionate advocate for the sustainability of our earth. "Memmy" was a lover of all living things (especially her cat, Mellie). She was willing and eager to listen and always seemed to know what to say to make others feel special. She was fearless, with an effortless smile and an infectious laugh. The world is a better place for having had her in it. She will be missed, but never forgotten. Private family memorial service will be held. Those who wish to participate in spirit are asked to light a candle on Saturday, September 26 at 1:00 pm and take a deep breath to celebrate Meredith. Contributions in her memory should be made to a charity of one's choice.

Although it´s been a year since Meredith`s passing, not a day goes by that I don´t think about her. I have so many pictures of events that we attended together and I have such fond memories. I cannot begin to tell you how much I miss her and I think about her almost every day. I talk to her I ask her advice and I know that if she was here pretty much what she would say to me. I was hoping that I could connect with Dana or Sami but it seems to be difficult to connect. If someone could reach out to me I would really appreciate it. All my love forever. Georgeann

I am so sorry to hear about Meredith's passing. I wish to send my sincere condolences to her family. I met Meredith through playing tennis and had the pleasure of spending time with her both on and off the tennis courts. She was a very kind and friendly person with a charming smile and natural wit. She will be greatly missed.

I was friends with Meredith for over ten years, since we first met on the tennis court. I will miss her silly puns, her smile, her laugh, her friendship and her compassion. I have many fond memories with Meredith that I will always treasure like our fun times at tennis camp, going to bars for live music, mini golfing, and of course our shared birthdays. She will be missed by many and remembered fondly. My condolences to her family. She loved you all. Samantha, you were the center of her world.

My first memory of Meredith is when our children were at Moorestown Friends School together. Our children, were involved with all of the plays, and Meredith and I were in charge of feeding them!! She walked in with a massive platter of Primo hoagies for the cast and crew, and the minute I saw her the moment we spoke, we were best friends. Meredith has always been one of the strongest women I’ve ever met in my life. Even while she was going through these health issues, she continues to stay strong, and tried her best to be as positive as she could through it all. When I was sick about five years ago, she came to my home once a week with a hot meal and a hug. I’ve lost a best friend; she was such a light in my life. Rest in peace, my dear, dear Meredith. I love you Georgeann

This is such sad news. I had the pleasure of playing tennis with Meredith for many years, and counted has as a dear friend. I have so many fantastic memories of her both on and off the court. She was always ready for fun, loved to joke around, chatted about everything, and always talked lovingly about her family, especially Sam. This is a year of sorrow.

Sam, my deepest condolences. Meredith worked for me at Towers, EDS and HP. You always were the light of her life. She would smile from ear to ear just saying your name. You could do no wrong. ❤
My heart breaks for you.
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
