Every time I visit Flagler and or the Tennis Complex , I think of Peter and the impact he had on the Tennis Program and all of his players. I also think of the standards he has set for the school and teams that came later. He is missed !! R.I.P. Peter

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Coach Peter Scott. His passion and commitment to the game, his players and Flagler College was tremendous. His dedication to excellence was only matched by the quality time devoted to his Team. Peters time at Flagler College shines ever more brightly when you reflect upon the foundation of the Tennis Programs and the high bar he set fourth. I am truly blessed and thankful for Coach Peter Scott and Flagler College. My thoughts and prayers are with Peter and his entire family.

Coach Peter Scott was in many ways a maverick, he showed us an alternative approach to competitive team sport - skills, nutrition, flexibility and importantly mental strength. A motivator, artist, philosopher, team builder and man of sterling qualities.
He touch many peoples lives. all will miss him.

I was thinking about Peter just the other day. So sorry to hear the news but he lived a full life. He was a great influence to many a young man. I was one of those young men when in college. I was one of his students and tennis players. I learned so much from him. In some ways, he made me a better man. He was one of my role models to be sure. I would like to extend my sympathies to Joan and family. A great man with a great heart. He will live forever in my memory.

I had the privilege and honor to know Peter for over 50 years. He served many roles to me and my family. He was a teacher; coach; father figure; Godfather; inspirational role model; trusted confidant; ardent supporter but most importantly a close and trusted friend. This kind and accomplished gentleman of Italian America descent was the true Renaissance man. His passions as a singer; actor; tennis player; teacher; professor; educator; coach; or photographer were each embraced with a twinkle in his eye; love in his heart and a youthful enthusiasm that you could not help but love and admire. He will be sorely missed by his loved ones. I pray that their memories of Peter bring them comfort, as they do to me. He is singing with the Angels and God has saved a special place for him in Heaven.
Many thanks to Joan and her family for bringing him comfort; joy and love in ways that were immeasurable yet greatly appreciated by those that loved him.
Rest In Peace Peter. Godspeed on this next journey. You will never be forgotten. Gordon Jones and family.
