Robert Thomas DiCianni, Sr.

Robert Thomas DiCianni, Sr., 71, of Hickory passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at home in the presence of his loved ones. He was born June 12, 1941 in Camden, NJ. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Albert and Dorothy McCormick DiCianni. Robert graduated with the first graduating class of Bishop Eustace High School and was a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Hickory and the Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time with his loving grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and bocce player. Most recently, he was pursuing his Master Gardener Certification.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his two sons, Robert T. DiCianni, Jr. and his wife Belkis, of Panama, and William J. DiCianni and his wife, Caterina, of New Jersey; a sister, Kathy Bumgardner and her husband, Fred, of Ohio; seven grandchildren and two nephews.

A funeral mass will be held Monday, April 29 at 11 am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Family will receive friends prior to the mass at 10 am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
