Robert Womer Obituary

Age 85. Died peacefully at home on Sunday December 28 2003 after a brief illness.
He was born in Philadelphia. Graduated from Central High School in 1935. Except for time served in the US Navy during WWII he was employed at the Phila. Naval Yard until 1977 at retirement he was Superintendent of Public Works. While employed at the Navy yard he was a member of the National Association of Superintendents and held various offices in the Quartermen and Leading Men's Association. He was a member of the National League of Masonic Clubs Journer's Association 901; also
a member of Rotary International District 7640 for more then 25 years and passed President of the Berlin Rotary Club. Bob was a avid reader stamp collector and fisherman.
He was the husband ofthe late Mabel E. (nee Stewart). Father of Judith E. (Bernhard) Rosenstein of Evanston IL Bonnie L. (John) Adams of Williamstown and Roberta L. (Derek) Low of Orlando FL also survived by six grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
Friends may call Thursday evening 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the KNIGHT FUNERAL HOME 14 Rich Ave. Berlin. Funeral services Friday 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Locustwood Memorial Park Cherry Hill. The family requests in lieu of flowers kindly send contributions to: Samaritan Hospice 5 Eves Dr. Suite 300 Marlton NJ 08053 or the Berlin Rotary Club PO Box 413 Berlin NJ 08009.
