Samuel A. Russo, suddenly on February 2, 2013 of Gloucester Township. Age 32. Beloved husband of Lauren (nee DiGiacomo). Devoted and loving father of Francesca. Dear son of Samuel and Carol( nee Keane). Brother of Michele Steen (Christopher) and Deborah Johnson (Ryan). Loving uncle of Conlon, Fallon, Neala, Gianna, Sean and Ava. Grandson of Cornelius Keane. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Wednesday evening from 6 to 9pm and 8 to 9am Thursday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Mass 10am Thursday morning at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Jude's RC Church, Blackwood. Interment New Saint Mary's Mausoleum, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Samuel's memory to Francesca's Memorial Fund, c/o TD Bank, 1235 Blackwood Clementon Rd., Clementon, NJ 08021. It is so hard to find the words to express my heartfelt sympathy to the Russo Family, Lauren, & Francesca. Sam will forever remain in our hearts. I first became friends with Lauren 9 years ago and thought what a quiet and kind person... Then I met Sam and it goes without saying opposites attract. Sam was full of life, outgoing, always put a smile on your face, and laughter in the room. Although, Lauren in her own way does the same... Sam just put a little extra into it. We will miss Sam dearly he was an amazing husband, a great dad, a loving son & brother, and a friend worth having! With a heavy heart we said our final goodbye to Sam today but he will forever remain in our hearts!

Hey Big Guy. I wanted to use one of our nicknames but they never were publicly appropriate.
I'm headed to see you right now. I hate this. I hate it so much. We were supposed to live a lifetime of laughter and I just don't have it in me today.
I saw your whole family last night. We were all there for you. You should have seen the out come! The amount of people you touched with your beautiful heart is astronomical!
I took off work today. Usually when I don't work on a weekday I call you to see what you're up to. You usually come get me and we sit around and do absolutely nothing. I need one of those days. Where we do nothing but just hanging out with you is good enough. To have been friends with you for all these years has given me enough stories to share for 2 lifetimes. I will forever remember you and never stop speaking of you.
I told Lauren that I'm always going to be there for her and I will. I will make sure Francesca knows who her father was and I can't wait till she gets older. I know you will shine through your daughter one of these days. And I will be there to see her/you.

Our prayer goes to Sammy Jr., his life lit up the lives of many people with his simplicity, his big heart and kindness, gave love to the people who were close and had the good fortune to know him.
Our prayer goes to Lauren, the woman he loved in all his years, who shared with him the good and the bad moments, but especially the love that few people can say they've had, we ask for her strength to go on in her life and to grow the little Francesca.
Our prayer goes to Francesca who has enjoyed the love of her father for a short time but we hope she will carry in her heart forever.
Our prayer goes to Sammy and Carol, parents who have grown him strong and amazing and loved their little-big son turnig a big strong man and a loving father, we ask for them to find, with the help of their children and grandchildren, the energy to keep the family together and move on.
