Grandmom,
The memory of you and our times together, especially living with you for a few years as a child and especially our holidays are the most important, cherished and comforting memories I have when I reminisce of the past and need little reminders of the amazing family and heritage I come from. It is amazing you survived a work camp in WWII Ukraine at a tender age and started a brand new life on fresh soil here in the U.S. You were the oldest female of your siblings and took care of children and family members your whole life. Your dedication to family taught me to be the same.
Your warm, loving and strong nature made me feel so safe and free to be myself around you. You always kept calm even in times of pressure and I made this a part of my character as well.
Thank you for showing me prayer, tradition, and true domestic etiquette in making a house, a home. I wish I would have visited more and spent more time with you beyond holidays before you passed away.
You are an inspiration to me. I love you.

You were one of the strongest, kindest, most generous, loving women I´ve ever met, I hope you know how much you are missed by me and your grandchildren. I hope you are resting in peace with your creator.

Grandma,
You were the sweetest, kindest, most caring person who ever lived. I’m so thankful for all of the memories that we have together, and all of the things that you have taught me throughout the years. You were so strong and so beautiful and always did whatever you could to please your loved ones. You had an overwhelming amount of “grandma magic”. I wish I could be there to say goodbye one last time. I love you so much, and cannot wait to see you again some day.
