Thomas Hamer Obituary

On Dec. 10 2002 age 58 of Haddonfield.
Husband of Frieda L. (nee Grossman) father of Jennifer (J.E.) Hamer of Newark DE and son of Wilma Hamer of Freeport IL.
Family and friends are invited to his Memorial Service Mon. Eve. 8 PM in the Sanctuary of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church 29 Warwick Rd. Haddonfield NJ 08033; where friends may call in Felten Parlor 6-7:30 PM.
He graduated with High Distinction from University of Arizona Tucson AZ in 1966. He received a Master's of Business Economics in 1969 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1974 both from Claremont Graduate School. At the time of his death he was full professor of Economics and Chair of the Economics department at Rowan University Center for Economic Data Analysis. Tom's specialties were both Labor and Regional Economics. Tom married Frieda Grossman in 1971 and their daughter Jennifer was born in 1976. Tom had served on the Board of the Haddonfield Friends of the Library. He was a trustee of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church. He authored several articles published in the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's Business Review. He was a member of the American Economic Assn. Nat'l Assn. of Business Economists and was active in the Phila. Chapter of the National Assoc. of Business Economists. Tom loved doing things with his family such as supporting Jennifer in the Penn State Marching Blue Band visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame driving to Illinois with Jennifer to see his parents going out to restaurants with Frieda and attending Broadway musicals.
Memorial donations may be made in Dr. Hamer's name to the Building Fund at the church at the above address.
