William J. Bartel, Sr. of Wenonah, NJ on March 10, 2012, aged 71 years.
Legacy
Bill proudly served in the US. Navy. He was the Chief of Safety for the Army Corps of Engineers in Philadelphia, he also worked for the Naval Yard. During his free time, Bill was an artist who expressed himself through his paintings. His art work is displayed throughout his home. He taught Folk Art at AC Moore's and Michael's Craft Stores. Bill was the Past President of the Oak Valley Vikings. Bill, mostly, enjoyed the private comforts of his home.
Family
Beloved husband of 50 years to Judith J. (nee Stevens). Devoted father of Cheryl (Kevin), William, Jr. (Karen) , Karen, Dianne and Jeannine. Dear brother of Larry, Jr. and Margaret. Loving grandfather of 10.
Farewell Service
Viewing Thursday 6 PM-8 PM & Friday 8:30 AM-9:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. A Funeral Mass Friday 10 AM in Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret's RC Church, 3rd and Beech St., Woodbury Heights, NJ. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. Family requests donations to be sent to American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691 or American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
