Jasper, Ind.
Alice C. Theising, 80 of Jasper, Ind., passed away at 11 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Ind.
Alice was born in Jasper, Ind., on August 12, 1936, to Anthony and Ardella (Herbig) Rowekamp. She married Dennis M. Theising on May 17, 1956, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2006.
Alice retired from the Dubois County Herald.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and their St. Ann's Society, and a member of the Jasper Circle of the Daughters of Isabella.
She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving, daughter, Kathi Leonard, and husband, Jack G., Birmingham, Ala.; two sons, Steve Theising, and wife, Angie, Evansville, Ind.; Jeff Theising and wife, Glenda, Jasper, Ind.; five grandchildren, Ashley Stoelb, Steven Theising, Chad Leonard, Michael Theising, and Andrew Theising; eight great-grandchildren
Preceding her in death was her husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice Theising will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, Ind.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The St. Ann's Society and the Jasper Daughters of Isabella will pray the rosary at 1:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
