Allen Donnerman
HUNTINGBURG, Ind. — Allen Henry Donnerman, 79, of Huntingburg, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011, at The Waters of Huntingburg.
He was born November 27, 1931, in Pike County to Walter & Irene (Kruger) Donnerman. He was married to Thelma L. Sickbert, on July 4, 1954, in Holland. Allen was retired from Schmidt Contracting, where he worked as a heating & air service technician. He was a United States Army veteran; a member of St. Paul's UCC, in Holland; an avid I.U. sports fan; and enjoyed woodworking, crafts and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma L. Donnerman, who died on June 8, 2002; and his brother, Dennis.
He is survived by one son, Roger (Sharon) Donnerman, of Celestine; one daughter, Janet (Richard) Kramer, of Evansville; his companion & her family, Joann Cook, of Winslow; 4 grandchilden, Alan (Bethany) Kramer, of Evansville, Angela (Brad) Greenwell, of Mt. Vernon, Eric (Erin) Donnerman, of Bristow, Katie (Nick) Bolte, of Ferdinand; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation 1 to 7 p.m. CST Tuesday, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home, in Huntingburg; and also at St. Paul's in Holland one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.
Funeral 10 a.m. CST Wednesday, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Holland, with burial to follow at St. Paul's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
