Alvin Ray Coursey, 78 of Evansville, Indiana died on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Sunday, August 21, 1938 in Lewisburg, Kentucky, the son of the late Noble Coursey and the late Elaine Pogue Coursey. He was the husband of the late Marie Joines Coursey.
He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He was formerly employed by Quadco and Unclaimed Freight Store.
Surviving are son, Gary Coursey - (Pam) of Evansville, IN; 2 grand children, Craig Coursey and Kayla Schutz - (Matthew), both of Evansville; other extended family.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Wileys Chapel Methodist Church with the Pastor Danny Risinger officiating. Interment will be in Wileys Chapel Cemetery, Lewisburg, KY.
The family will receive friends after 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Wileys Chapel Methodist Church, Lewisburg, Kentucky.
