Newburgh, Ind.
Anthony Paul Barthel II, 22, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, in San Bernardino, Calif. He was born January 7, 1994, in Evansville, Ind., to Anthony Paul Barthel Sr. and Donna Bennett-Barthel.
He was formerly lead guitarist for the Christian band, Mission 6. As a child, Anthony enjoyed karate and tennis. He loved listening to music.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his adoptive mother, Kimberly Barthel Marquis (Mark); siblings, Kevin Bennett (DeAnna), Derek Bennett, Heath Bennett, Breann Barthel, Lia Barthel, Lily Barthel, Travis King (Jasmine), Molly King, Cindy Ford (Nathan) and Jennifer Lewis; and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016, at New Beginnings Church officiated by Pastors Derek Hayden and Doug Horner with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit noon until service time on Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Anthony Barthel, II Memorial Fund.

It saddens to find out about Anthony until now. I have followed Mission Six since I was 14. I am now 21 years of age. My heart mourns and grieves for the los of such a talented guy. May God give strength to the family.
