Anthony Robinson

Evansville, IN - Anthony Robinson was born to Gerald Robinson and the late Claudetta Thomas Nunn in Evansville, IN on May 23, 1962. He was called home on March 18, 2021 after a long illness, surrounded by family. Anthony grew up on Bedford Ave and graduated from Harrison High School in 1981. Throughout his work career, he worked at Denny's, Subway, Wesselman's and Walmart. At an early age Anthony accepted Christ and grew to become a faithful man of God with a strong spirit. He joined Watkins Temple under the leadership of Rev. Matthew Hale and was an active member for more than 25 years. He attended Bible Study, spoke the Word on Friday nights, assisted with many Baptisms, and has was a faithful member of the Men's Department of the church. When Anthony wasn't at church, he dedicated his time to his lovely wife of 20 years, Jackie, and his precious daughter, Vanessa, his family and his friends. Tony also loved to play Chess but the best enjoyment out of that was beating his brother Everett! Tony was preceded in death by his mother Claudetta, brother: Darryl Foster; grandparents: Searl Robinson, Lila Robinson, Helen Surrett; Aunts: Patricia Thomas, Arthleen Thomas, and Carol Lee Thomas; nephew: Ian Bavone.

Anthony leaves to cherish his memory, wife Jackie Robinson; daughter: Vanessa Tramill; step-daughters: Cassandra (Gregory) Paine-Francis, Carlada (Shamario) Patterson; father: Gerald Robinson; 5 grandchildren; siblings: Karen (Bobby) Houghton, Carla (DeWayne) Robinson Gimmerson, Latonya (Rev. Eric) Poole, Everette (Nina) Nunn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Services are 12:00 p.m. Saturday March 27, 2021 at Watkins Temple COGIC with walk-thru visitation from 11:00 a.m. to service. A mask is required and social distancing will be observed. R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Leave condolences at www.masonbrothersfs.com.
