Barbara Russell Obituary
Evansville, Ind.
Barbara F. Jones Russell, 80, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017, at the Linda White Hospice House.
Barbara was born on January 18, 1937, in Rockport, Ind., and was a graduate of F. J. Reitz High School. She had been employed at Mead Johnson as a receptionist, Deaconess Hospital in Medical Records and Thrift, Inc. before her retirement.
Barbara is survived by two daughters, Lisa Wolfe of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lori (Maynard) Briles of Evansville; one son, Steven R. (Angela) Sartore of Gallatin, Tenn.; one sister, Debbie Basham of Hawesville, Ky.; and one brother, and Richard Bunner of Hawesville, Ky. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Noah, Abram, Jonah and Samuel Sartore and Steven Black; and two great-grandchildren, Aaryanna Adams and Ava Black.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Sartore, Bob Vanhooser and Fred Russell; one sister, Wanda Raibley; and two brothers, Robert Bunner and G. William Jones.
Funeral services will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
The family would like to thank CNA Vageesha Somaratne for the kind and compassionate care shown Barbara and her family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Linda White Hospice House, 611 Harriett Street, Evansville, IN 47710.

I will always remember Barb with that infectious smile. Only saw her mad a few times, mostly always that smile. She had such a kind and warm personality, always made me feel great just to be around her.
She was a really good person....she is a wonderful memory.
