He was the son of Curtis O. and Grace (Bohn) Holder. Keith was a warm, witty, and a man of great integrity with a friendly smile and an open heart. He was a kind and caring gentleman, who was a "go-to" kind of guy, always ready to help in any way, so giving.
Until his health failed he was a Mechanical Engineer at ALCOA, where he was a dedicated employee for 44 years.
He also was a loving, generous and respectful husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. "Daddy Keith" is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Ann Tichenor, and their children, daughters, Jeanette (James) Carter of Boonville and their daughters, Crimson and Clover (Brian) Bates, Traci Holder of Evansville and her children, Brandi (Steve) Koger of Florida and Adrianna Marsh, Danielle (Janson) Poncho of Louisiana and their children, Davida, Joseph, David and Isaac, Tara Holder of Evansville and her children, Dominique Lockett of Missouri and Jada McKnight; and son, Kyle Keith of Evansville. He is also survived by one sister, Annlyn (Manley) Mahl of Villa Ridge, Mo., and their daughters Lark and Holly; one brother, Robin (Linda) Holder of Evansville and their children, Lisa (Phil) Burnett and Christian (Tracy) Holder also of Evansville; mother-in-law, Marjorie Tichenor; sisters-in-law, Charlotte (Don) DeVault and Marja Tichenor; nieces, Leanne (Mark) Morrow and Patricia (Floyd) Spears; great-grandchildren, James, Christa and Kelsey; great-nieces, Emily Grace, Heather Nicole, Evelyn Rae and Bethany; great-nephews, Austin, Jordan, Gibson, Jared, Aaron and Trevor.
The family is so grateful for and touched by all of the wishes, visits, cards, calls and prayers from friends and co-workers. We give a special thanks to the staff of Deaconess Hospital, the wonderful Doctor Lofti Hadad and his great staff at the Evansville Cancer Center for their compassionate treatment and care during Keith's illness with pancreatic cancer.
The body was cremated. There will be a celebration of Keith's life in an informal gathering at Alexander Newburgh Chapel on Saturday, August 5, 2006, from 2 to 5 p.m.
The family requests no flowers. Contributions if you wish may be made to your favorite charity. And love one another.
You did good Holder, you did good!

Although "Daddy Keith" was my stepfather for 30 yrs. He never distinguished us as "his kids, her kids, my kids and our kids ". He loved all of us unconditionally even when we were less than loveable.
His loss will be felt forever. I am so proud to say "Daddy Keith" was my daddy, and I will remain greatful that I did have him in my life for 30 yrs. As the saying goes "anyone can be a father but it takes something special to be a daddy".
Please continue to add to this guest book, I really enjoy shared moments and stories. Traci

Keith was fun. even when nothing was going right he would find a way to have something light to say. I worked with Keith for over 30 at Alcoa and never knew him to unkind to anyone. He will be remembered as someone who was approachable and and wise. I have only seen him a few times since I retired 4 years ago, but he is amoung my fondest memories of Alcoa

Daddy Keith, I will miss you. This brings the Saying, " You Dont'know what you've got till its gone," home. You brought pieces of "normal" into my life as a child when you adopted me. I will never forget you. And you were right; "Cow milk is for baby cows!"All my Love, and not enough words to express my gratitude.
God Bless you Pat. Stay strong sisters, and to a brother I would like to know more of. Love, Faith and Hope to my family. Dannie.

I started with Alcoa when I was 18 years old, way back in 1970. Keith was one of my mentors who taught me how to make a drawing 'The Alcoa way'. Keith's drawings were a piece of art, just beautiful. I learned a lot from him, right up until he quick working a few months ago. I can only hope that I will be able to teach young people the way Keith did. He had an impact on so many lives, in so many ways. I'm going to miss him.

I worked with Keith for many years at Warrick. I found him to be very competent, hard-working and always dedicated to Alcoa and his job.
But, I also enjoyed Keith as a human being. We loved to joke and kid each other. I have missed him since I retired.
My condolences to all his family and friends.

I lived with C. Keith after our divorces. He gave me a ride in his new '67 Corvette. It was his pride and joy at the time. Darold

Keith was allways a person that you could rely on for telling you the truth (good or bad) and he said it in away that made you listen to what he had to say. I worked for Alcoa for 36 yr's the past 20 at Warrick. Never met anyone like him. He was a good person to have known. I will be out of town Aug 5 please except my deepest sympathy.
