Debbie Stevens

Evansville - Debra Ellen Stevens, 63, of Evansville, IN, passed away December 31, 2020, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born January 20, 1957 in Evansville, IN, to Ernest J. and Ruth (Gross) Stevens.

Debbie was a Mt. Vernon High School graduate and attended Ivy Tech to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked for Deaconess Hospital as a receptionist and CNA.

She was preceded in death by her mother and nephews, Daniel Henderson, Jason Stevens and Sean Stevens.

She is survived by her father, Ernest J. Stevens; brothers, Ernest L. Stevens (Brenda Dailey) and Norman (Melinda) Stevens; four nephews and one niece, Cole (Violeta) Stevens, John (Leslie) Stevens, Sarah (Steve) Henderson, Derek (Jamie) Stevens and Hunter (Hailey) Stevens; several great-nieces and nephews; her favorite dog, Lexi; and good friends, Delores Hudson and Christy and Holly Markham.

A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN with burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

A public walk through will be held from 9:00 am until 10:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Due to the national health crisis, masks are required and social distancing should be observed.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Posey Humane Society.
