Dotty," Rest High Upon The Mountain and Soar with the Eagles". Thank you so much for the many cards, stories and recipes you have shared with me. My mom always talked about the good times you and her had together. I hope all of you are enjoying each other's time together. For us left behind we will hold onto the wonderful memories and know that some day we will be together again. Ron, Buddy, Shannon and family you are in my thought and prayers. I pray you will find peace and comfort knowing others share in your loss. I will not say time makes it any easier,I believe we learn to manage our pain and loss.

I only met Mrs. Dotty once and that was earlier this year when we performed at the Beats & Blues Fest. Dotty, Larry's Mom, was so very sweet to Micol & me. She gave us some of her delicious homemade cookies and we danced to the music and enjoyed some laughs and small talk too. I am honored to have met her and to have been blessed by her for a moment in time. My condolences and prayers go out to Dotty's family and all her loved ones. God's blessings to y'all, Ricky Davis -w- Blue Mother Tupelo

Ronnie, I am so sorry about Dotty. It is so hard to believe she is gone. Janet and I met her in Madisonville in August and had such a great time. I talked to her 3 weeks ago,and knew she was sick, but didn't realize how sick she was. She had a gift of making everyone feel welcome and special. I really loved her. My love and prayers are with you, Larry and Shannon.

Oh, I am filled with sadness and joy at the same time as I know Dotty is with my mom and dad now. Our lives have been intertwined for over 40 years and she stepped in when our mom died to give each of us Terrell children an angel with the message that she would be our mom now. Mom, I miss you and love what you did for us, your family by choice. Your daughter became our sister, your son, our brother, and Ronnie, our special, well-loved friend. You thought of others, waited on others first, and showed us how to demonstrate real love to all. I'm sure you did not want to leave us, but I am also sure of seeing you again - whole, healed and perfect as God intended. You have left behind a lot of love to be shared and we will endeavor each day to live up to your example. We are with the family in spirit and were so blessed to be able to spend time with you in early November. How you laughed at Kellan's antics as he dashed around your living room and the two of you played peek-a-boo. What sweet memories... Larry and the crazy outfits Mary Beth made for him... Shannon wanting to marry Mike when she grew up... babysitting for you and chasing mice in the grainary turned house next door to us on Copperline Road... wonderful haircuts, styles, and primping for senior pictures... sharing craft moments... fishing, eating, movies, laughing, and playing cards... so many, too many to even list. Goodbye until we meet again!

Loved Dotty since the day I met her, she was the best neighbor I ever had and called herself my "other mother"...there is an empty spot in my life that can never be filled and I pray comfort for the family at the loss of an amazing lady.

Dotty was one of the sweetest people Cheryl and I ever met. If she filled her house with tired, hungry musicians, they all became her family for a few hours while she fed them and found places for them to rest for a while. Her life seemed to be filled with love and compassion for all who came her way, and we will always remember her gracious, caring heart. God blessed us all with her life, and He will watch over Ronnie, Larry, and Shannon as she leaves us.

I was lucky to have had the greatest mother in law in the world. Even though it was for a short time I cherished every moment that I had with her. I always enjoyed our heart to heart talks, checks on her "boy" and exchanging recipes and goodies. She would light up the room whenever she walked in. She was so full of love and life. I know that she is looking down on us from heaven and saving us a good seat. She is tending to her heavenly garden and don't worry we will take care of Pop, Larry and Shannon. I will miss her deeply. Put in a good word for us mom. I love you. Teresa Cummings
