Elmer Ernest Lant, 89, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 7, 1928 in Newburgh to George A. and Wilma (Westerhoff) Lant. Elmer was a member of Lutheran Church of our Redeemer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott C. Lant; and brother, Donald L. Lant, Sr. Elmer is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Jean (Fleener) Lant; children, David B. Lant (Sandy) of Newburgh, Mark A. Lant (Alison), Susan Holstein both of Evansville; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry Lant (Lisa), Sharon Raibley both of Newburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314. Pastor Tom Wenig will officiate. Inurnment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of our Redeemer, 1811 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714. Sympathy wishes to the family may be shared at www.titzerfuneralhomes.com.
