She was a cafeteria manager in Evansville, Henderson, and Owensboro schools and retired from Dexter School in Evansville. Florence was known for wonderful cinnamon rolls and pies.
Florence was preceded in death by her first husband, Ancel G. Hill; second husband, Donald Fitzsimmons; sons, Ancel Glen Jr. and Barry Kent Hill; three sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by her son, Shelby L. Hill and wife, Judith, of Gibsonia, Pa.; daughter, Sharon Frischkorn and husband, Bob, of Newburgh; stepdaughter, Patricia Jost and husband, Chet, of Evansville; grandchildren, Emily Hill and fiance, Josh Breehl, of Charlotte, N.C., Michael Frischkorn of Evansville, Mary B. Meza and husband, Oscar, of Indianapolis and Curt Frischkorn and wife, Cheryl, of Santa Fe, N.M.; stepgrandchildren, Terry Fisher and husband, Bob, of Evansville, Kara Price and husband, Mark, of Louisville and Todd Jost of Miami, Fla.; four great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three nephews; one niece; and grandnephews and nieces.
Services 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mark Dicken, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
