Evansville, IN
George Damm, 86, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, at North Park Nursing Home. He was born February 3, 1928, to the late John and Veronica (Goebel) Damm.
He retired from the City of Evansville's Water and Sewer Utility Department, was past president of Central Labor Council of Southern Indiana, and was past president of Evansville Men's Democrat Club. George was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean (Cates), and sons Michael and William "Willie" Damm.
He is survived by his son, Bruce Damm; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys Ludwig; and brother, Melvin Damm.
Services will be Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel, with burial in St. Paul's UCC Cemetery-German Township. Friends may visit from Noon until service at the funeral home.
