He was a veteran of World War II. He was a life member of the Elks Club and member of VFW Post No. 2953.
Boots owned Hopper Construction and Concrete Contractor Company.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristie; son, Mark Hopper; brother, Gene Hopper and wife, Doris; sister, Joyce Cutrell; four grandchildren; 10 nieces; and three nephews.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at Alexander Park Lawn, officiated by Reverend Robert Nall. Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites. Friends may visit Wednesday, from noon until 2 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Charlier Hospice Center, P.O. Box 3487, Evansville, IN 47734. Condolences may be made online at www.mem.com. Arrangements by Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave.
