Georgia Lee Weiss, 84, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 in Newburgh, IN. She was born July 26, 1929 in Posey County, IN to George and Ida (Stock) Boerner.
Georgia was a lifetime member of Salem United Church of Christ - Heusler where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. She had been a deputy clerk in The Posey County Clerks Office and retired as secretary at J&J Welding and had been a member of American Legion Auxiliary.
Georgia was preceded in death by parents; husband, Kenneth F. Weiss; son, Keith; and son-in-law, Tom Harris.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Harris; grandchildren, Glen (Darla) Harris and Kevin Harris; great-grandchildren, Dustin Harris, Kendall Dees, Zach Renschler, and Alex Renschler; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Salem United Church of Christ - Heusler with Rev. Al Schmitz officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm service time Wednesday at Salem UCC - Heusler 11325 Lower Mt. Vernon Road Mt. Vernon, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
