Geraldine Barrett Obituary

Geraldine Barrett, 84, passed away Tuesday August 10, 2010, at Deaconess Hospice Center in Evansville.
She was born March 31, 1926 to the late Lilburn and Stanza (McReynolds) Walters.
Geraldine had worked in the laundry department at the Owensville Convalescent Center, was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Owensville and a graduate of the Owensville High School Class of 1944. She was an avid reader, also loved to watch the humming birds and go on walks.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Wayne Barrett; daughter, Jeanne (Mike) Lindsey of Rockport, Ind.; sons, Don (Barb) and John (Teri) Barrett of Owensville; three grandchildren, Craig (Candy) Armstrong, Brandon (Jill) and Ashlie Barrett; two great-grandchildren, Brennan and Braelyn Barrett.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Cecil Gene Walters.
Services will be held Thursday August 12, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Douglas officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contribution may be made to Deaconess Hospice.
