Vera L. Sanders passed away on February 10, 2010. She was born May 21, 1929 in Britton, Okla. to Archie Frank McGibbon and Marie Brewer McGibbon.
Her husband, Billy W. Sanders, preceded her in death as well as her parents, a brother, Will A. "Bill" McGibbon and sisters Berneta Moore, Avis Fansler and Sylvia Manley.
Survivors include her daughters, Louise M. Millbura of Littleton, Colo. and Vicki Ochoa of Houston, Texas; sisters Betty Dutcher of Edmond, Okla. and Joyce Youngker of Perkins, Okla.; grandchildren Drew Millburn and wife Melody of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Mitch Millbura and fiancée, Maria Centeno of Parker, Colo., Heather Humes of Edmond, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Vera worked for Baker Service Tools as region secretary and retired after 41 years with the same company. She was a faithful and efficient worker and was admired by other employees.
Vera was an excellent seamstress and an avid gardener. Many family members and friends were the recipients of her sewing talent. She spent many enjoyable hours tending to her beautiful flower garden and Koi pond.
Vera's family wishes to thank the staff at Sterling House North in Oklahoma City for the loving and excellent care they have given her. She was fond of all of them and they loved her as well.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 in the Historic Chapel at Memorial Park in Oklahoma City, Okla. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, Okla.
