Ivy attended grade school at Grafton School then Wolf School for seventh and eighth grade. She went to high school at Oakland City and later went to Oakland City College and then Evansville College for a BA degree.
She taught at Keils School in Knight Township, Vogel School, Lutheran School, and Warrick County School where she retired.
Ivy attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ in German Township for more than 60 years. She was the oldest member in the church.
She married Clarence Keil in 1933, who preceded her in death in 1981. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Dr. Gloria Keil in 2000.
Surviving are her two daughters, Carol Keil of Evansville and Angela Humston of Indianapolis; and a brother, Wilmer Sturm of California.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Daniel Sather and Rev. Eugene Bickel, with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

We send our deepest sympathy on the death of your Mother. How amazing it must be to live 100 years! I'm Patty Wolf who lived in Armstrong many years ago. I remember your Dad, Clarence. I believe he was our school bus driver. I remember Gloria and was sorry to read she had passed away. She may have been a couple of years older than me. I remember you also, Carol.
