Dear Terry and Family,
We were saddened to hear that Janet has passed away. She was such a lovely lady. She was alway a pleasure to work with even when she was really not feeling well. We will miss seeing her. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. God bless you.

Mr. Geer and Family: I am terribly saddened by the loss of Mrs. Geer. I was in one of her fifth grade classes at St. James and the things that I learned from her will stay with me for many years to come. She was a wonderful teacher and an even better person. My sympathy to you all, Emilee Petitjean (St. James, Class of 2003)

To the great men of Mrs. Geer's life, from Un Hui (at Uni in Indianapolis): I will never fully understand the gravity of your loss of your loving wife and mother. I only knew her for little more than 2 weeks but through talking and interacting with the four of you, especially you Mr. Geer, I could see what a tremendous and beautiful presence and influence she meant to you. I am so incredibly sorry for what happened and I prayed to God every day that He would somehow make this less painful for you, to let you celebrate her life and all of the wonderful memories you created together. Even now, I cry at the picture of what I saw these last few days and I still ask 'why'. I only know that as much as I already love my own mother and father, that that night, when you were saying your goodbyes to her, I called my own sweet mother to tell her I was coming home. I went home, cried all the way, and I hugged her so hard and cried in her arms as I told her what I witnessed these past two weeks.
You are an amazing family, the kind of people God teaches us to be like, and yet through one of the darkest times in your life, your faith and good spirit shined on. I am truly humbled by you and while I am thankful for the lesson in life, I only wish we didn't have to meet b/c that might have meant that she would still be with you. But as things are, please know that you are in my thoughts daily, several times throughout, and that I continue to mourn for such a loving family who though they suffered a great loss continued to serve as an inspiring witness to those of us who have not. I pray that your hearts will heal soon and that the pain is replaced with only good health and happiness in the future.
