New Harmony, Ind.
Jerry W. "Top" Browning, 76, of New Harmony, passed away December 7, 2017, at his residence. He was born February 20, 1941, in Evansville, Ind., to the late John and Margaret (Snyder) Browning.
Jerry was a graduate of Mater Dei High School, class of 1959. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Jerry retired from the United States Marine as a 1st Sargent. He was a life member of the V.F.W. 1114.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila K. (Sutton) Browning; stepchildren, Frank, Tony, Dave and Jeff Ortega, Peggye, Phillip and Jackie Lowery; brother, James Browning; sister, Patricia Browning; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the New Harmony Volunteer Fire Department 400 Fairgrounds Rd., New Harmony, IN 47631.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
