I knew Mr. Blankenship as a customer at Oak Hill Pharmacy. I worked there for over 20 years. It was always a pleasure to see Mr. Blankenship in the store. He was always kind and personable. He obviously was very dedicated to his family. I didn't know of his military service, but of course, it is not surprising. He was a great example of kindness, service, and responsibility to others.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Blankenship through his grandson Derek whom he loved so dear. He is a very honorable man who lived a fully enriched life. I know he will be deeply missed. May god fill the hearts of you and your family with peace and comfort through this most difficult time.

So sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Blankenship always being very active at Bethlehem UCC and singing in the Choir too. He was a wonderful Father to my life-long friend, Mariann. Prayers for your family.

To the Blankenship family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Leroy lived an awesome life and I have VERY fond memories of him and all the hours I spent at his home since Mariann has been a best friend since 3rd grade. He knew he was loved and surrounded by a wonderful family which is the best thing anyone could ask for. Love and hugs to you all as you reflect on his life. I really wish I could be there in person to convey my sympathy. Gwen Moreland Cook
