Lindy Fischer Obituary
Evansville, Indiana
85, of Evansville, died Sunday November 10, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1928 to Ernest and Lenora (Hagan) Fischer.
Lindy retired from Alcoa in 1990 as an electrician. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII, and member of Nativity Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by sons Joe (Diane) of Chandler, IN and Glenn E. (Judy) of St. Wendel, IN, daughter, Judith Ann Hill (Henry) of Clarksville, TN, grandchildren Jill, Andrew and Ben Fischer and great-granddaughter Haley Baggett.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Jean Fischer in 2011and brothers Earl, Joe and Don Fischer.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday, November 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Nativity Catholic Church, 3635 Pollack Avenue, Evansville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 13 at the church with Father Henry Kuykendall officiating.
Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
