Lucille Jordan Obituary

TELL CITY — Lucille M. Jordan, 99, born Feb. 23, 1908 in Tell City, Ind., died Friday, May 25, 2007, at Oakwood Health Campus.

Lucille Hickerson was married on Dec. 24, 1925, to Jabez Jordan. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church and the church Missionary Society. She enjoyed her family, Christian fellowship, quilting and crocheting.

Survivors include son, James "Jim" Jordan, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Rodney Jordan, Veda Knable, Darla Jordan, Alison Foster, Eric Jordan, Taylor Jordan, Spencer Jordan, James "Jimmy" Jordan Jr., Kent Crawford and Janice Boling; 20 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by husband, Jabez Jordan, on Aug. 29, 1999; daughter, Joanne Crawford; son, Jabe "Bud" Jordan; parents, Philo and Charlotte (Huebsch) Hickerson; sister, Fern Hiltman and brothers, Earl and Theodore "Doc" Hickerson.

Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday, May 27 at First Baptist Church in Tell City.

Officiating is the Rev. Lee Brown.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 26 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and Sunday, May 27 from noon until service time at the church.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
