Marion "Bud" Curl
Evansville IN
Marion A. "Bud" Curl passed away July 7, 2014 surrounded by family, and friends. Following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Feb 2, 1944 in Tell City, to the late Marcella (Daum) and Francis Curl. He retired from Whirlpool after 36 years of service. He was an Army veteran and member of the American Legion Post in Princeton, he was also a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. He was the best husband for 47 and a half years to his loving wife Jean (Stieff), after a one week courtship. A devoted Father to Jimmy, Wendy and Kelley. The perfect Papooh, (Grandpa) to Ashley Curl, Tristin Midle, Buddy Curl, Piper Midle, Colton Curl, Makenzie Curl and Elliott Curl. Beloved brother of Bonnie Greenfield, Loving Uncle of Crescent Effinger, Tessa Greenfield and Jenna Greenfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Grandchildren, Alana, David and Daniel Curl and great-Niece Kaylee Dallas. Memorial services with full Military Rites will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1800 St. George Rd. on Friday July, 11, 2014 at 6pm, visitation is from 3-6 pm. Bud's contagious smile will be missed by all who knew him!

It was a blessing to get to know Bud again after not having seen him for so long after the school days of the distant past. I had never forgotten him and for sure will not now. I agree his smile was contagious!
