Mary P. (Polly) Schile
Fort Branch, Ind.
Mary P. (Polly) Schile, 93, of Evansville, Ind., formally of Fort Branch, Ind., passed away on Thursday, Mar. 31, 2016, at Pine Haven Nursing and Rehab in Evansville, Ind.
She was born on Aug. 14, 1922, in Crossett, Arkansas, to the late Charles and Stella (Kelly) Tremor. She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run, Ind.
Besides her parents Polly was also preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Schile in 2007; a son, Timothy J. Schile in 2013; and three brothers, Bill, Bobby and Maurice Tremor.
Polly is survived by eight children, Gerald Schile, of Crossville, Ill., Stella Bennett, of Lumberton, Texas, Michael Schile, of Evansville, Ind., Patrick Schile, of Newburgh, Ind., Maurita Braun, of Evansville, Ind., Romona Bulkley, of Newburgh, Ind., Mark Schile, of Fort Branch, Ind., and Sally Mathis, of Junction, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild to come.
She is also survived by one sister, Rose Bowyer, of Eden, N.C. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Saturday, Apr. 2, 2016, at 9 a.m. at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run, Ind., with Father Steve Lintzenich the celebrant. Visitation will be on Friday, Apr. 1, 2016, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, Ind., and again from 8 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be at the church Cemetery. The family request that any donations be made to the National Alzheimers Assn. or the St. Bernard Cemetery Fund.
