Michael Tharp Obituary
Boonville - Michael "Mike" Wayne Tharp, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at his home.
Michael was born on August 18, 1960, in Evansville, Indiana, to James Alvin Tharp and the late Mary Ann (Tucker) Tharp. He served our country proudly in the United States Army and met his beloved wife, Margaret Jo "Maggie" (Enriquez) Tharp while they both were enlisted. They have been married for over 36 years. They never fought, went to bed angry, or left the house without saying I love you. Their son, Kyle was a big part of his life and together his family lived a very peaceful and content life- enjoying stargazing, basketball, golf, and auto racing to name a few.
Mike leaves behind his wife and son, a loyal dog named Bear; father, James Tharp; three sisters, Patty Kennedy, Barbara Mann, and Sandy (John) Yoder; sister in law, Jeanne (Chuck) DeCosta; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews; and longtime good buddies, Ronnie, Dave, and Mook.
A walkthrough visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana, with a private service at 6:00 p.m. for close family and friends. Everyone is encouraged to respect social distancing and healthy precautions.
