Peggy Carlye Obituary
Gresham, Oregon
Peggy Joan Maidlow Carlyle died in Gresham, Oregon on January 26, 2018, at her daughter's home. Peggy lived with her daughter Brenda Lowder (Steve) for over ten years. Brenda, a retired nurse, cared for Peggy the last seven months.
Peggy was born September 8, 1930 in Inglefield, Indiana, to Halbert and
Lillian Maidlow. She graduated from Scott Elementary and Reitz High School. Following high school she worked as a teller at Old National Bank.
Peggy resumed working in banks in Pinellas Park, Florida, after her two children entered high school.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Carlyle, whom she married in 1951.
Peggy is survived by her son, Michael Carlyle( Dolores); daughter, Brenda(Steve); grandchildren, Aaron, Annetta, and Andrew Carlyle, David, Ryan, Michael, and Brandon Lowder; 15 great grandchildren; and brother, Marlan Maidlow (Patricia).
Peggy's remains will be returned to Evansville in late April to be interred at Alexander Memorial Park. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8020 Covert Avenue, Evansville.
