Ricky Powers Obituary
Evansville, Ind. - Ricky Ray Powers, 63, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at his home.
Ricky was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 26, 1956 to the late Donald Ray and Yvonne Louise (Haug) Powers. He was a 1974 graduate of North High School where he went to state in wrestling. Ricky went on to work for L&N railroad for many years. He was a Shriner and a member of Reed Masonic Lodge #316, the River Bend Association, the Evansville Athletic Club, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Ricky enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing cards and traveling.
Ricky is survived by his sisters, Donna Powers (Glenn) and Vickie Henry (Kenneth); brothers, Donald "P.G." Powers and Danny Powers (Jewel), all of Evansville, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents.
A Masonic service and Shriner walk-through will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 followed by a celebration of Ricky's life officiated by Pastor Kim Wells.
Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Ricky's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. May that bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.
