Evansville, Ind.
Robert "Bob" Allen Alves, 65, of Evansville, was born in Morganfield, Ky., on November 11, 1951, and passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017, at Deaconess Hospital.
He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years, where he enjoyed teaching people about the Bible. He loved spending time with his family, and his dogs. He also enjoyed listening to music and looking at cars.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Jane Alves; and his brother, Richard McDowell Alves.
Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years, Natalie (Holland) Alves; his three children, Matt Alves and his wife, Amy, Sarah Alves, and Jacob Alves.
A memorial service for Bob will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Brother Keith Herrenbruck officiating.
Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until service time on Saturday at Browning Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 610 S. Eickhoff Rd., Evansville, IN 47712.

It's hard to realize for me that I will never see him around again. He was kind and caring man, who left a good memory after his journey here.
I have my own word of appreciation to Bob - he was the one of the people I met 10 years ago in USI, and I will never forget his cheering smile.

I always enjoyed working with Bob. He was so kind. I will always remember that about him. That and our ongoing State Farm joke when he called about something work related. I'm sincerely sorry to hear of his passing.
