Dear Family:
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you, along with prayers of comfort and peace during this time. I did not know Robert, and probably not
many of the family, but I do know y'all are couzins.
My mother is Victoria Reutter (Wildemann-Nurrenburn) of Evansville, who in March 2007 also went to be with the Lord; so I know how much you will miss Robert. I know too, she would have sent her thoughts and prayers to the family; so in her absence, I stand in the gap. Mom (Vickie) spoke often of the Spaettis and times gone by--pleasant memories.
I am the daughter who lived with my husband Conrad, in Owensboro back in the 80s as he served as the new Port Director of Customs there. Whenever we would come up to the Hwy(231?)near Rockport to cross the bridge, if Mom was with us, she would always comment to me of her 'Spaetti' cousins.
Well, I imagine she and Robert are now sharing some stories, and sitting at the feet of Jesus too!
God Bless you, and take comfort in knowing ...'to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord----
May His Spirit be with you all!

Dear Mrs. Spaetti, John and Brenda and Family,
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the death of your father. I knew that he had moved to the Carmi "bottoms" -- as my dad always called them -- from Rockport some years ago. Guess he wanted to become a "Pioneer" instead of a "Hoosier". I am in Upper Michigan until the end of October for study and so I cannot be with you personally; but know that I am with you in prayer. I will offer Mass for your dad and all of you. We all look forward to seeing our loved ones again in heaven -- may you too have that hope and faith. God Bless, Fr. Jim Sauer
