Rose Sharon (Owen) Gulledge

Rose Sharon (Owen) Gulledge, 80, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Sharon was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 13, 1937 to the late Charles Raymond and Myrtle (Witty) Owen. She was a 1955 graduate of Elberfeld High School and retired as a bookkeeper from Smith & Butterfield in 1999 after 30 years of service. She enjoyed knitting, bus trips, playing cards, trips to Hawaii and Europe and the many visits to Florida. Sharon loved her friends and the fellowship she had with them at TOPS Club. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 58 years, Billy Gulledge of Evansville, IN; children, Terri White (David) of Evansville, IN, Joseph Gulledge (MaryAnn) of Evansville, IN, Corey Gulledge (Medea) of Oakland City, IN, and Lynn Sheridan and her fiancé, Chet Pate of Evansville, IN; sister, Margie Owen of Evansville, IN; brother-in-law, Elmer Lovell of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Brian, Abby, Adam, Sammy Jo, Bryce, Megan, Ryan N., Katie, Ryan P., Vincent and Shelby; six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Thelma Mayberry, Ruby Whitledge, and Aretta Lovell.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday.
