Sue Freudenberg Obituary

Sue E, Freudenberg, 85, of Fort Branch, IN passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at her residence. She was born on August 4, 1933 to the late Paul and Helen (Highsmith) Massey in Montgomery Twp., IN.

Sue was a member of the Fort Branch First Presbyterian Church. She was an avid artist and taught painting classes for over 25 years. She was a member of the Gibson Co. Art Guild, the Arts Council of Southern Indiana, P.E.O., She was a founding member and treasurer of the Arts Council of Gibson County, She was awarded the 2008 Southwestern Indiana Arts Council Artist of the Year Award for Gibson County, she belonged to the Henderson Society of Art, the Owensboro Art Guild, as well as The Ohio Valley Art Guild.

Besides her parents, Sue is also preceded in death by her husband Jack L. Freudenberg, who passed away on Dec. 16, 2013 and her sister Nancy Creek.

Sue is survived by 2 children, James "Jim" (Anna) Freudenberg of Ann Arbor, MI, Beth (Mark) Schmitt of Fort Branch, IN. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Dr. Caitlin Schmitt (Cody Rogers) and Meredith Schmitt, and Selene Freudenberg.

services for Sue will be on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN with Pastor Corey Atkins officiating. Burial in Providence Cemetery in Francisco, IN

Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Fort Branch or Jack Freudenberg Family Fund at the Gibson County Community Foundation.

I remember all the things Sue did for my children with the art guild and fair. She was also very encouraging to them. She was very caring to her mom and dad. Sorry for your loss. Ken
