Sylvester G. Reisinger, 83, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 at West River Health Campus.
Sylvester was born in Martin Station, Indiana on September 17, 1927 to the late George J. and Magdalena (Schili) Reisinger. He was lifelong member of the catholic faith. Sylvester worked in manufacturing including, Chrysler Corporation and Arkla/Preway. He retired from Arkla after many years of service. He enjoyed his exercise class at the Heart Group and volunteering at St. Mary's Soup Kitchen. Together Sylvester and his wife, Pat enjoyed traveling. He had served in the US Army.
Sylvester is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia (Fisher) Reisinger, son, Michael Reisinger, brother, Earl Reisinger (Marge) all of Evansville, IN and a granddaughter, Julie Marie Talbot of Newburgh, IN.
Sylvester is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Josephine Thomas, Olivia Polley and Kate Haag, brothers, Wilfred Reisinger, Melvin Reisinger, Edwin Reisinger and John Reisinger.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 AM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 704 First Avenue, Evansville, Indiana with Father Jay Davidson officiating. Entombment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue Evansville, Indiana. There will be a memorial service at 5:00 PM.
Friends may also visit from 8:00 AM until service time on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at St. Anthony's.
