Bill Art Baker, 84 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday August 17, 2025 at home following a battle with cancer. Bill was born April 8, 1941 in Xenia, Ohio to the late Ted and Gwen (Hess) Baker. Bill was married June 25, 1982 in Bucyrus to Mary Ann (Downing) Reiter who survives. He is also survived be three children from a previous marriage, Carol, Amy, and Kevin; Three children with Mary Ann, Todd Reiter, Jennifer Vanichek, and Lisa (Tom) Corfman all of Bucyrus; seven grandchildren, Ash and David Reiter, Kiley, Brooke (Shane Johnson), and Jordan Corfman, Andy Randolph, and Josh (Mikayla) Vanichek; 3 great grandchildren Eli, Novalee, and Myles Johnson; and brother Neil (Katie) Baker of North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Bill lived all of his life in Bucyrus and graduated from North Robinson H.S. in 1960. He worked at Swan Rubber and PaCal Blades for 30 years until they were closed. Bill retired from Burner Systems in Mansfield. In his early years he was in business with his father and brother building houses in the Bucyrus area. Bill enjoyed working outside, collecting weathervanes and clocks, and being an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Father Paul Fahrbach as Celebrant. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday at 3:45 pm. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or the Donor’s choice. Moments of Remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
