The first time I met Charlie was at the ReStore. We had been having issues with an overhead door and placed a maintenance call. In walks Charlie later and I proceeded to explain the issue. I even suggested opening the overhead door to see the issue which Charlie obliged and as the door shut we stood in silence. After a few minutes Charlie said I see you have an issue and in my embarrassment I realized he wasn´t the repair man. We laughed for years about his side talent of being "The Door Guy". I share this story because that was Charlie. Charlie was always asking "What can I do to help?" His smile, his humor ( the idea of marketing a furniture load he helped assemble as built by an "English Craftsman") and his kindness could turn any bad day into a blessing for his coworkers and the many customers he had built friendships with. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Charlie brother it´s Jack. Geez, it went by so fast. We were both sober. We would laugh about everything. He was always talking about his nephews. He was so proud of them. just think it was so unfair for him to be sober and that to happen to him. You passed on me and my wife´s anniversary. I´ll never ever forget you.

Charlie was my friend, I really enjoyed spending a lot of time with him during my college years and am truly honored to have had someone like Charlie in my life. I am very sad about all of this. He will be greatly missed.
