Collin Thacker Obituary

Collin Garrett Thacker, age 23 of Caledonia, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025. Collin was born May 19, 2001 in Westerville, OH, the son of Melanie (Kurtich) Collins. He graduated from River Valley High School. Collin continued his education at the Ohio State University, Marion Campus. He was beloved on campus by faculty and students alike, always with a smile that lit up a room and offering a hug that would make any bad day better. He graduated with his Bachelor degree in Arts and English. Collin had a brilliant mind and was a gifted poet and short-story writer with many of his works published. He was pursuing his Master's degree in creative writing with the goal to one day be an English professor. Fashion, artwork, jewelry, reading are just some of the many things that brought Collin joy. He recently began expressing himself through painting and had created beautiful works of art that will be cherished by his family. Collin's loving spirit felt most full when he was engaging and socializing with family and friends or those he came in contact with through work and school. His faith in God was a great source of comfort and hope that sustained him in the good days and bad. He looked forward to being a part of 2 weekly Bible studies at Lifepoint Church.
