Harold "Harry" Rittenour Obituary

Harold “Harry” R. Rittenour, age 68, of Bucyrus passed away at his home April 29, 2025. Harry was born to the late Arthur “Jim” and Carol (Reinhard) Rittenour on June 17, 1956 in Bucyrus.

Harry is survived by his wife, Tammy (Bryant) Rittenour; children, Gail (Marty Lutz) Rittenour, Neil Rittenour both of Bucyrus, Ohio; step-children, Jason and Amy Lacey of Gahanna, Ohio, Jesse and Ayndria Lacey of Bucyrus, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Cole Rittenour, Ilynn Lutz, Waylan Lutz, Mackenzie Rittenour, Jackson Rittenour, Carman Lacey, Porter Lacey, Nash Lacey, Chloe Lacey, and Carson Lacey; siblings, Ron Rittenour, Mark and Joyce Rittenour, Becky Piper, Carl and Babette Rittenour, Phil and Shelly Rittenour, and Judy and Bob Grochowalski; and his “Garage Gang”, Roger Groves, Bob Rahm Jr., Bob “Moose” Mostitler, Brian “Boo Boo” Donaldson, Butch Fackler, and Keith Adams.

Harry was always there to help anyone who needed it. He kept many cars on the road with his 40 years at Steeles Service Station. He plowed many driveways and parking lots and poured hundreds of yards of concrete with his brothers Ron and Phil, and his son Neil. Harry bowled many games in leagues with his friends. He also played many men’s softball games bringing home a championship trophy for Steeles Service Station.

Harry was a member of AMVETS post 27 and The American Legion Post 181. He volunteered at many special events and supported the clubs on a regular basis. He also served 40+ years on the board of Crawford County Conservation League.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Bolden officiating and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford County Conservation League and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com

Very sad to see this. My sincere condolences to Harry's family and friends. He has kept my car on the road for many years and my leaky tires full. Always available when I needed his expertise. I will miss him. Rest In Peace Harry.
