James Copley Obituary

James Augustine Copley was born, not into this world, but into eternal life on May 3, 2025 at Marion General Hospital. James's soul now rests in the arms of Christ, where he knows only peace and eternal joy. James is deeply cherished and will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Christopher Raymond Copley and Destiny Eileen (Whiting) Copley; his siblings, Emma, Thomas, Margaret, and Mary; his grandparents, Jerry and Patty Copley, Colleen Myers, and Michael Whiting; his godparents, Peter and Tansy Holm; extended family, and countless people who will continue to pray for him and his family. His memory will forever remain a source of comfort and strength for all who love him. A Rite of Naming and Commendation of an Unborn Child was celebrated by Father Daniel Colby at Marion General Hospital prior to James' delivery, and a private family burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Marion, with Father Edward Shikina presiding. Friends and family are invited to gather in love and support on Friday, May 9, 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m. and concluding with a Rosary led by James's godfather at 6:00 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel (360 East Center Street, Marion). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests for donations to be made to help with unexpected expenses by visiting www.givesendgo.com/Copley, or to St. Mary Catholic Church, Marion in memory of James. The Copley family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of OhioHealth Marion General Hospital Maternity Center for the tender and dignified care provided during this profoundly difficult time. Lord God, ever caring and gentle, we commit to your love this little one, quickened to life for so short a time. Enfold him in eternal life. We pray for his parents who are saddened by the loss of their child. Give them courage and help them in their pain and grief. May they all meet one day in the joy and peace of your kingdom. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, is honored to serve the Copley family.
