John Alden Cromwell Jr.

John Alden Cromwell, Jr., age 41 of Marion, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at his home. John was born on February 11, 1983 in Lorain, OH to John Alden Sr. and Paricia Ann (Krauss) Cromwell. John had a career as a dedicated truck driver. John had a generous spirit and was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved anything that had a motor in it and could fix just about anything. John lived life to the fullest, he loved going to the race track and monster truck shows. He liked motorcycles and playing video games with his kids and friends. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, loved animals and took great pride in his fish aquarium. Above all, he cherished his family and time spent with them. He is survived by fiancé, Afton Salyers; his children: Mackenzie, Jade, John III, and Elise Cromwell; grandchild: Saige Wengerd; and Afton's children: Savannah Lytle and Luke Salyers; siblings: Michael Krauss, Jordan Ranges, Donna Donahue, Melissa Cromwell and Mary Hartley; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John is preceded in death by his parents John and Patricia along with his sister Kathy Durst. Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2025 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 6PM; funeral service will follow at 6PM.
