John Williams Obituary

John A. Williams, age 79, formerly of Galion passed away Tuesday August 26, 2025 at VanCrest of Ada. Born June 15, 1946 in Bucyrus, he was the son of the late Altie and Lena (Hale) Williams. He married Marlene Ivy on October 29, 1984 and she preceded him in death on November 17, 2015. John served in the U.S. Army and retired from Kean Remodeling. He enjoyed playing cards and coloring. His favorite teams were the Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was known to be spoiled rotten and funny. John is survived by his children: Aaron (Kelly) Williams, Teresa (John) Holbert, Alyssa (Ray) Truman and Lena (Joey) Kise, brother Orville Williams, sister Wilda Woogerd and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Fred Williams, Altie Williams, Anne Campo, Evenlyn Pfeifer and Frances Poast. The Williams family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
